Parallel Kinematic Machine (PKM) is a new type of machine tool, which has the potential to fill in gap between traditional CNC machines and industrial robots, due its flexibility superior motion dynamics. Stiffness an essential property as it will affect machining capability. Although much research been conducted on stiffness modelling analysis, most them employ simplified models gravity effects have not well considered or characterized for PKMs. To knowledge gap, this paper introduces experimental measurement method considering effect tool. An procedure was developed order separate from structure.
